		<description>From a young age, Rabi found an interest in various forms of expression ranging from garment and jewellery making, street dance, music and visual art. She was primarily trained in two Hip Hop elements, breaking and DJing, within her community in Toronto. A major shift in her artistic practice came with her long-term move to Amsterdam in 2018, where she started drawing. Having left Guinea as a child and now being away from everything and everyone that is familiar forced her to look inward. Putting pencil to paper, she started releasing difficult emotions before moving forward to exploring the layers of her identity throught this art form. What was first a means for personal relief, became a public and intentional display of presence. Rabi embraced this phase of her creative journey and all the opportunities that it would offer.
Art enabled Rabi to expand her range of practices and the ways she shares her perspectives. Recognizing the depth of the human experience and the richness of her culture, she uses her voice, academically and creatively, to express her reflections. It is with this drive and energy that Rabi is able to make meaningful connections and grow with like-minded people globally.&#38;nbsp;

		<description>creatives + wellness
Practitioners in the creative industry are prone to various challenges when it comes to professional advancement in their respective fields. One of those challenges is managing the mental, emotional and physical pressures that come with the nature of any creative position held.Creative expression can be used as an outlet or therapy to manage different personal challenges or experiences. Or maybe it’s a calling. But what happens outside that ideal haven? In the spaces of ideation, imagining, creating, relating, producing, making and sharing. Understanding and coming up with solutions to: the personal toll that creatives bear from the cultural expectation of struggle as an artist, the lack of appropriate means for personal support, and the lack of security for creatives professionalizing their craft - that’s what this is for.

The purpose of this anonymous research is to gain an understanding of the diversity of challenges faced by creatives. The answers to these questions will be used to inform interventions that can cater to and support creatives in their professional and personal development.[Phase 1 of the research has been completed. Thank you for your participation.]

		<description>SOULABABE &#124; RABI BAH

Rabi Bah, aka soulababe, is a multifaceted creative whose artistic approach is self-described as “visually minimal but emotionally layered”. Born in Conakry, raised in Toronto, and building in Accra, culture has been a driving force in the work she produces.
“My work is a continuous meditation of the role that my cultural and spiritual identities play in shaping who I am and how I relate to those around me. Using black and white leaves the gray area always open to interpretation.”&#38;nbsp;
Inspired by the images, patterns and words that have always been present around her, she uses drawing, painting and sound to express her reflections.&#38;nbsp;
